JA Michell Skeleton

This spectacle received a total restoration from Planet Hi-Fi. The client had not had this baby running for over 20 years and what an amazing piece of audiophile history it is. It was fantastic to see it up and running, fully restored. The JA Michell Skeleton was produced in the 1970's, this particular one is from Ireland.

We rebuilt the entire motor chassis assembly, including a new coat of paint for the chassis suspension base, the main platter was also repainted. We replaced a damaged AC power cord with one that was non-polarized and installed a new junction box for tonearm cable to RCA connections. The phono cartridge ends were replaced and a Ortofon Red 2M was installed to this table. We setup the Vestigial tonearm with Geodisc and set the anti-skate and weights for this table to play more vinyl for years to come!
