Since the 1980’s audio has been a passion for us, a rewarding pastime; seeing the glow of the tubes, hearing the quality of sound with that preamp, watching the needle mozy along on the vinyl. There is sentimental value behind a lot of this older equipment; passed down through the family or a story of your first stereo system. For a lot of us we just enjoy the warm sound of hi-fidelity.
As technology and audio has become more modern, hi-fidelity took a back seat. We were seeing more and more vintage hi-fi equipment ending up in the landfill and at scrappers and recyclers for parts. This is something we didn’t want to see happen. We wanted to keep “the sounds of yesterday” alive.
In 2005 we started taking unwanted hi-fidelity equipment and flipping it; testing tubes, repairing circuit boards, recapping turntables - only as a side gig. The final product was restored back to new, if not - it was very very close to.
Now, with so many restorations and repairs from AM/FM receivers, reel to reels, to turntables and tube amps coming through the door we were quite pleased to see that the local audiophile community is on board and willing to save hi-fidelity with us! For personal reasons, to not wanting to see a beautiful piece of equipment go to waste. We are so happy to be a part of the repair, restoration and revival of hi-fi.
The audio community has always felt like a place you all band together and ask questions to get a solution, or aid each other to make sure that everyone can enjoy the good vibrations and wonders of hi-fidelity sound.
